Scarpa maestrale rs flex index12/2/2023 Cool FeaturesĪll the key features for a BC winner are in place-Vibram outsole, dual pull loop Intuition tongue liner, Grilamid Bio plant-based plastic in the cuff, straightforward Velcro power strap, a 3-position forward lean adjustment and even a Recco chip. The touring range of motion was outstanding and the weight on the foot was light. Testers agreed there was plenty of power on tap for expert level charging through all snow conditions for all but the biggest and hardest-corest of guys. This RS was a step up in performance from the last RS we tested-it’s more in line with the descent performance of the XT now, just in a slightly softer and less exact sort of way. While the 2018 Scarpa Maestrale RS is the same in name, it debuts a completely new shell construction, closure system and liner. With this impressive new weight, this boot is not only ideal for skiing but makes the trek. Full Review Fit Data Photo Gallery Tester Comments The Gist. This stiffer boot is intended to aid with climbing while remaining light on the feet. Ski Boots: All Scarpa ski bootsare measured in Mondo sizing.Highlighted (or not) sizes share the same shell size the liners are lasted for each 1/2 size. The Scarpa Maestrale RS AT boots are the companys entry into the ever-evolving beefy-but-light category occupied by the likes of the Dynafit Vulcan. The Carbon Grilamid LFT shell, BioGrilamid cuff and Pebax tongue offers fantastic versatility & performance, particularly on fatter skis up to 110mm wide. Scarpa plastic mountaineering boots are based on the UK sizing scale. The RS is the beefier version of the bestselling Maestrale and continues to be the benchmark boot for modern ski tourers. This impressive boot is the newest model offered by Scarpa and is an upgrade from their previous version. Mountaineering: Scarpa recommends you upsize 1/2 size or more depending on desired fit. The out-of-box fit was surprisingly good, they said, but recommended full heat molding to better match the foot and leg and lock the exterior of the liner to the shell for increased precision. The Scarpa Maestrale RS is the next evolution in ski boots. Testers said the 101mm last width labeling was just as advertised-medium fit tension throughout, with a little additional relief in the toebox and forefoot. Testers loved this improved iteration of the Maestrale RS since the last one they tested-now following the lead of the Maestrale XT’s mold shape and design but in a softer shell and slightly less dense Intuition Pro Flex Performance liner the RS provides everything a backcountry skier is looking for in a user-friendly package, at a $100 discount off big brother XT. The 2021/2022 Scarpa Maestrale RS was tested in the men’s Backcountry category by the experts at America's Best Bootfitters, powered by Masterfit.

Bugs monterey12/2/2023 More memory leaks in Monterey 12.0.1: how to avoid them.I’ve already detailed some of the more serious bugs in 12.0.1, including: I’m impressed to report that this also happens on M1 series Macs, making it the oldest Universal Bug of them all. The simple way to recover is to select a different folder in the first column, which should restore sensible column widths. More often than not, you’ll now see the second column fill the remaining width of the window, and browsing any deeper into those folders is almost impossible, as the column width settings go haywire. Then click on the Back button to switch back to your previous view of the sub-folder within Documents. Select an app (one with a long name can sometimes be ideal). Now click on your Applications folder in the sidebar to switch to that folder. Select your Documents folder in the sidebar, then select another folder containing more files and folders in the first column, within Documents. Open a new window in the Finder, and ensure that it’s set to Column View. If you use Finder’s column views, it’ll catch you sooner or later. I’ve been moaning about it through successive releases of OS X and macOS over the last seven years. One of the oldest prominent bugs in macOS, which dates back at least eight years to OS X 10.9 if not before, is a flaw in the Finder calculating the width of columns, which I’ve named the Finder column width bug. All I can see is a black screen with the time displayed. Open the Desktop & Screen Saver pane, select the Screen Saver tab, and then preview the Classic, for example. Sadly the answer is that they’re still non-functional. Thanks to John for asking me to check whether photographic screensavers like the Classic, which displays a series of images, are as broken as they have been in Big Sur. Unless you’re happy to get them several days later, the only way to get timely updates is to perform a dance in the app. Left to its own devices, the App Store is extremely slow in offering updates. The only way to obtain that appears to be to disconnect the charging cable, which is very unhelpful. Although this has now been fixed, the cost is that the menu no longer shows the charge level of either device when it’s being recharged. This appears new in 12.0.1, and sometimes mitigates the Flying Pointer bug above.īig Sur had an annoyingly persistent bug in which the Bluetooth menu bar item had to be opened twice in succession to get the current levels of charge in trackpad and keyboard (again, Apple’s, not third-parties’). Despite that, I often have to tap quite hard to elicit a response. Although these have improved to the level of occasional irritants, I can’t understand how Apple’s own devices can’t be used without these bugs getting in the way.Īs I use a trackpad as my input device, I set its Click (in the Trackpad pane, Point & Click tab) to Light. These appear to be part of long-standing problems with Apple’s wireless trackpads and keyboards, which can also occasionally result in the doubling of letters and other glitches. This can be coupled with the following bug, which mitigates it, as one of the double-taps isn’t detected at all. For instance, when I double-tapped a word in a document, the pointer flew up to another part of that window, usually expanding the window to the whole display area, just as if I’d actually double-tapped the title bar instead of the word.Īt first, I thought that Monterey had fixed this irritating bug, but it persists in a slightly less annoying form, in which the pointer still flies away before the first click ‘lands’, but not into the title bar. While I welcome your proposals, please be careful to outline how each bug can be reproduced, so that we can enjoy them for ourselves.īig Sur and earlier versions of macOS sometimes did strange things with routing taps from my Apple trackpad. This is by no means complete, and I’m sure you’ll each know of many that haven’t yet irritated me. This brief survey lists some of those which have been niggling me since the release of macOS 12.0.1, with links to the more serious problems at the end. While plenty have already been fixed, there are still many to go. Monterey is a chance for Apple’s engineers to catch up with the backlog of bugs which have marred Big Sur and its predecessors.

The toll road authority also will accept cash to either start or replenish an EZ TAG account, using a new feature called EZ Toll pay that will be available at retail stores across the Houston region. Monday, which is Labor Day, according to the HCTRA. No action is required by customers to receive the discount, which will be implemented automatically starting at 12:01 a.m. The price change applies only to two-axle vehicles with an EZ TAG, which is issued by the Harris County Toll Road Authority (HCTRA), and only on the aforementioned roads managed by the agency. "This will make it a little bit easier for all of them." "There are people who live in every precinct in Harris County who many times have no choice but to take the toll road to get where they need to go," Precinct 1 Commissioner Rodney Ellis said in January, when the changes were adopted. They are designed to encourage greater EZ TAG usage, thereby boosting revenue for the toll road authority while also providing financial incentive to customers. The discounted rate, along with a handful of other policy changes, were approved earlier this year by county commissioners. American pro tools review12/2/2023 Husky (Stanley Black & Decker, Western Forge, Apex Tool Group, Iron Bridge Tools, and others). In other scenarios, tools are “offered” to a retailer and then manufactured in bulk upon acceptance of a buyer’s order. That means the tools get specified by the store but executed by another manufacturer. Note that many (if not all) of the brands below represent ODM or OEM solutions. We can’t leave out the popular house brands available at those big-box retailers and home improvement warehouses. In either case, it’s pretty impressive the market share each of these companies enjoys! Who Makes House Brands at Big Box Stores? However, considering Makita announced it would stop making gas products in 2022, the Dolmar acquisition now seems less significant. Makita, on the other hand, did acquire the Dolmar brand in 1991, bolstering its already-impressive line of outdoor power equipment tools. Hilti doesn’t have any subsidiary companies underneath them or a parent company over them. Hilti and Makita are just Hilti and Makita. 2004 chevy cateye with ranghand12/1/2023 These also offer good contrast in dim or low-light conditions.” Green lenses transmit all color evenly, meaning color perception is even. Amber or brown lenses improve contrast and enhance depth perception. Gray-tinted lenses offer better overall protection and help reduce glare, especially off water and pavement surfaces. But as Ellen Koo, MD, told us, “Different color tints can serve different types of advantages. Lenses: Lens color is primarily a matter of style and preference. In general, we prefer minimal company branding and logos. If you see three numbers there, the first number is the horizontal width of the lens in millimeters. If you’re trying to decide what frames might fit your face, check the inside arm of a pair you already like. Models that offered a variety of color combinations to suit more people’s preferences were great, but we didn’t eliminate glasses that lacked such options. Design: We looked for pairs in a range of styles, to suit different tastes. In our testing, we found that full-metal hinges helped-the hinges made arms easier to fold and unfold-but we considered models that had plastic hinges, too. Build quality: Even cheap sunglasses should feel solidly constructed and be able to withstand your throwing them into a backpack or onto the backseat of a car.Comfort: Although comfort is hard to evaluate because people’s faces and tolerance for glasses vary widely, we sought frames that were lightweight and pleasant to wear for long periods of time on a variety of face shapes and sizes. Some people are willing to take good care of their shades and pay more for style, excellent build quality, or other bonuses, so we also tested some higher-quality pairs, and for those we set our price cap at $70. Value: After speaking to people who tended to break or lose their sunglasses, we decided that a good pair of cheap sunglasses should meet all our other criteria for less than $30. When you shop for sunglasses, always make sure to choose lenses with 99% or 100% UV protection or UV400 labeling (“UV400” means that the glasses block all light rays with wavelengths shorter than 400 nanometers, which is the cutoff for UV light). Goel, MD, told us, when you use lenses without UV protection, you end up allowing more damaging UV rays to enter your eyes than if you were wearing no sunglasses at all, and you leave your eyes vulnerable to a slew of nasty ailments (more on that in the UV protection section).

Nova stock buy or sell12/1/2023 Once the stock price rises, the scammers then “dump” their shares for a profit, while other investors are often left holding the bag when the stock crashes. In a pump-and-dump scheme, scammers pump a penny stock heavily using false or misleading information in an attempt to “pump up” the share price. Some key dangers to be aware of include pump and dump schemes, limited history to evaluate, and share dilution. While penny stocks can offer exciting potential, they also carry higher risks that investors should know before buying shares. Additionally, smaller companies don’t have the same financial reporting requirements as large public companies. Penny stocks tend to have lower liquidity, making them harder to buy and sell. However, the lower share price also comes with increased risks. But that same $500 could buy thousands of shares of a $.50 penny stock. For example, if you invest $500 in a $20 blue chip stock, you may only acquire 25 shares. The low per-share price allows investors to buy more shares for less upfront capital compared to investing in well-known blue chip stocks. Penny stocks often trade over-the-counter instead of major exchanges like the NYSE and Nasdaq. Typically, these affordable stocks come from lesser-known businesses in new industries.
